Lynette Bird, Chief Operating Officer

  • Gender: Female

About Lynette Bird

Lynette began her career as a Medical Assistant with PCHS in 1999 after graduating from Olympic College. She now has bragging rights to over 20 years of diverse experience in the healthcare field, most of them with PCHS, initially working in the positions of Medical Assistant and Medical Clinic Coordinator.

Lynette left the position of Medical Coordinator to pursue her interest in the cause and effects of disease, exploring a career in Pathology where she worked as a Histology Supervisor in California. She returned with her family to Washington and to PCHS in 2015 as our Clinic Operations Manager and moved into the position of Chief Operations Officer in 2022, with responsibilities that challenge and energize her.

Community and family help define Lynette’s areas of passion. She is a teacher at heart and has worked to grow our apprentice programs, along with working with Olympic College in the Medical Assistant program, including chairing their Medical Assistant Advisory Board. She is also a proud alumnus of the Leadership Kitsap program. She facilitates PCHS’ goal to treat our patients as family through interactions with staff and patients.

Lynette and her family immigrated from the Philippines to Bremerton in 1988. She has created deep roots in the community and has always been enthusiastic about the work of advocacy, especially around family-oriented issues.
