Behavioral Health Services

Peninsula Community Health Services provides behavioral health services as an integrated part of our primary care program. We have onsite behavioral health staff at our Sixth Street, Wheaton Way, Port Orchard, Belfair, and Poulsbo medical clinics, but have the ability through telehealth and referrals to meet the needs of patients who call all of our sites their medical homes. In addition, we have a mobile behavioral health clinic that travels to scheduled locations throughout Kitsap County to meet the needs of our patients who may be struggling to get behavioral healthcare through traditional means because of issues such as transportation, family, or changeable work schedules.

Here at Peninsula Community Health Services, we believe an integrated approach to treat your medical, dental, pharmacy and behavioral health care needs where our one healthcare record follows your care across our organization. While traditional health care centers primarily focus on only medical or dental services, research shows behavioral health should not be overlooked as a factor that could improve the overall quality of life for a patient. We offer a full range of mental and emotional well-being assistance, from the basics of coping with daily challenges of life, to the treatment of mental illnesses, such as depression or anxiety, as well as substance use disorder and other addictive behaviors. Our primary care providers work alongside our licensed counselors to address the behavioral health needs of our patients. Through integrated care, our entire care team works hand-in-hand to create a patient care plan that’s right for you – all under the roof of one medical home!
