School Based Health Clinic | Mountain View Middle School

Schedule an Appointment

PCHS has partnered with Bremerton School District at Mountain View Middle School for a school-based health clinic. Primary medical care and behavioral health services are available onsite to all the Bremerton school district students five days a week either by walking in or through an appointment. By having health care accessed at the schools, students benefit because they don’t have to travel to find a physician… or counselor…. Parents benefit because they don’t have to take a day off of work. Schools benefit because students spend more time in the classroom. And employers benefit because parents don’t have to miss a day of work. One of the convenience is that parents can allow for the students to be seen by themselves by signing a consent and a visit summary will be sent electronically.

Students can be seen for evaluation and treatment of common health problems, sports physicals, preventive health care, tobacco/vaping cessation counseling, suicide screening and mental, social, and emotional health care. Referrals to other health care providers can be arranged as needed.

School-based health centers provide a crucial link between health and education, improving outcomes for students in both areas. With youth-focused health education and services available at school, more students are likely to stay healthy, feel supported, be in class ready to learn, and graduate.
