Peninsula Community Health Services Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Residency Program

Mission and Vision

Peninsula Community Health Services (PCHS) was founded in 1987 as a community clinic in downtown Bremerton and became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 1993. PCHS health services include primary medical, dental, behavioral health counseling, substance abuse treatment, pharmacy services, and health education and promotion activities for all stages of life. Services are provided to all patients regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. PCHS patients may qualify for a sliding fee discount based on their household income and family size. PCHS delivers a comprehensive and integrated approach to health care services and is an accredited PatientCentered Medical Home (PCMH) by AAAHC. PCHS has medical and dental clinics located throughout Kitsap and Mason Counties in the Puget Sound area of Western Washington, about thirty minutes west of Seattle by ferry. Our team of over 400 employees serve over 43,000 patients throughout the region. As the only community health center in Kitsap and Mason counties, PCHS has experienced considerable growth in the last several years. Recently we’ve incorporated mobile treatment services for primary medical and behavioral health to reach patients where they are in the community.
