Enabling Services
ENABLING SERVICES
Peninsula Community Health Services is a community health center – meaning we go above and beyond to make sure our patients and clients have the tools they need to get the most out of their healthcare.
Navigators
PCHS offers the services of certified Navigators to help patients and community members sign up for health insurance coverage through the Washington Healthplanfinder free of charge. Trained and certified by the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, our Navigators help clients through the application and enrollment process from start to finish, providing information about coverage options and financial assistance. Support is available for clients with unique cultural, linguistic, disability, and other needs.
Medicare SHIBA
PCHS is proud to partner with the Office of the Insurance Commissioner to offer Statewide Health Insurance Benefit Advisor (SHIBA) services. SHIBA volunteers offer free, unbiased, and confidential assistance with Medicare, helping you assess your coverage needs, determine your eligibility, compare different Medicare plans, and enroll you in the programs that best meet your needs.
Community Health Workers
As key partners of PCHS’s care team, Community Health Workers help patients and their families access community resources, navigate social services, and adopt healthy behaviors and lifestyles. They work to establish trusting relationships with patients, helping them get the most out of their healthcare as well as the supports and services that our community offers.
Transportation
For some of our patients, lack of access to transportation can be a barrier to getting to and from important healthcare appointments. Our staff is available to help you get to the care you need when you need it. If you need assistance getting to an upcoming appointment, call 360-377-3776.
Language Assistance
PCHS believes that language should never be a barrier to high-quality healthcare. Our clinics and Patient Service Center are equipped to provide on-demand interpretation services in many different languages to those who are best served in a language other than English.
Kid Vantage
Kid Vantage provides essential care, safety, and health goods for children of families that are experiencing poverty, family disruption, or homelessness. Shoes, diapers, formula, blankets, coats, and more are available for kids from birth through age 12, and PCHS is proud to provide referrals for families in need. Ask your provider if you or your children would benefit from our partnership with Kid Vantage or visit their website at KidVantageNW.org
