Support PCHS
In 2006, Peninsula Community Health Services provided
primary medical and dental care to
23,384 children and adults. This was
made possible through a combination of program fees (patient fees
collected through Medicare, Medicaid, managed care contracts, third
party insurance and sliding scale) and federal, state and local grants.
However, we would not be able to provide these services
without the generous support from individuals in the community as well.
This support bridges the gap between what PCHS receives from traditional
funding sources and what it actually costs to provide services to those
in need.
Here are primary ways people choose to support PCHS:
Cash Contributions:
We give supporters and the general community the opportunity to provide
cash support of our programs through special direct mail appeals.
Supporters also may contribute directly to us through matching gifts
programs at their workplace and designated donations to the annual
United Way,
Combined Federal Campaign
(CFC #55177) and
Bainbridge Island "One Call for All" drives.
In-Kind Gifts:
We welcome donations of goods and services that can be used for direct
patient care or special events such as the silent and live auctions at
our Care To Jazz - Gala Benefit.
Gifts in honor or in memory of someone special:
Cash gifts are accepted when given in honor of special occasions such as
birthdays and anniversaries or in memory of someone who has passed. All
contributors receive thank you letters and families are notified of
memorial givers so that they can send personal acknowledgments.
Search with GoodSearch.com: Each time
you use GoodSearch to search the Internet, you will designate $.01 of
the search engine's charitable contributions to our organization. GoodSearch
is a nonprofit company that donates 50 percent of its annual revenue to
causes like ours. Best of all, it costs you nothing to use the site. Use
the logo link at the bottom of our homepage or visit

Special Events:
The Care To Jazz Festival is PCHS’ signature fundraising event,
which provides people the opportunity to have fun while supporting the
organization. The
annual Gala Benefit features a buffet dinner, silent auction and performances by
some of the Northwest’s best jazz vocalists and groups. Jazz in the
Woods is an afternoon concert on the green at
McCormick Woods Golf Course, which
features a star-studded lineup of Northwest jazz musicians and no-host
food, beer and wine provided by McCormick Woods.
Event proceeds
benefit the Edwin G. Tegenfeldt, MD Patient Care Fund.
