In his own words ...

"I come from a family with a long history of service - in law enforcement - and saw my opportunity for service in the practice of medicine."

Dr. Felts has been a family physician in Kitsap County for more than 15 years and came to PCHS in 2000 to become its medical director. Earlier in 2007, Dr. Felts changed roles within the organization to become chief medical officer. He says he entered the profession, like many physicians, because of his desire to help people and that he can't ever recall a time when he didn't want to become a physician.
Dr. Felts enjoys photography and kayaking during his spare time. He says he and his wife like attending as many of their children's various activities as time allows. He has participated in several medical mission trips including trips to Peru, Mexico and Honduras. He is currently chair of the Community Health Network Ethics Committee and serves as a guest lecturer for an Ethics class at Olympic College. An active member of the West Sound Community Church, he is originally from Kansas City, MO - Missouri's largest city, with approximately 450,000 people.
