2009 Care to Jazz gala benefit
8th annual event nets over $17,000

Peninsula Community Health Services raised more than $17,000 for the Edwin G. Tegenfeldt, MD Patient Care Fund through its 8th annual Care to Jazz Gala Benefit, held July 17 at the Silverdale Beach Hotel. The event featured an Asian-inspired buffet dinner, silent and live auctions, dancing, and jazz entertainment provided by Duane Wright and the Jazz Unlimited Band. Local comedian Cris Larsen kept guests entertained as event emcee and auctioneer. One of the evening highlights was the live auctioning of several sinfully decadent desserts. Guests also heard from CEO Barb Malich, CMO Dr. Doug Felts and Board Member/PCHS patient Monica Bernhard about PCHS services and how event proceeds benefit patients.

An event of this undertaking requires the dedication and support of many individuals and businesses. PCHS extends heartfelt appreciation to event sponsors Advanced Medical Imaging; Community Health Plan; Farmer's Insurance; Harrison Medical Center; Kitsap Sun; Silverdale Beach Hotel; Catherine A. Since its inception in 2002, the event has netted over $100,000 for direct patient services.
